The Story

I’ve spent the better part of my career around wine – learning it, teaching it, and eventually earning my WSET Level 3 certification along the way. Somewhere in those 25-plus years, I noticed the same thing happening on tour after tour: people would arrive at a winery a little tired, a little rushed, herded off a bus with fifteen other strangers, and rarely leave with much more than a photo and a headache.

That's not what a day in wine country should feel like.

Wine Lovers Tours exists to do it properly. Small groups. Private vehicles. Wineries chosen because they’re excellent – not because they’ve got a big enough parking lot for a coach. And a guide (me) who’s spent a career learning this industry and genuinely enjoys sharing it, whether you’re a first-timer or you can debate malolactic fermentation with the best of them.

Why a Tesla Model Y?

It wasn’t a gimmick. After years of driving guests around in everything from vans to town cars, the Model Y won out for the reasons that actually matter on a wine tour: it’s quiet, it’s smooth over the Okanagan’s winding backroads, and it’s comfortable for small groups without feeling like a commercial vehicle. It’s also, quite simply, a more sustainable way to explore wine country – a detail more of our guests care about than you’d expect.
